Sten Mayunga

A seasoned professional in the sports industry, Sten is deeply committed to basketball and promoting equality in sport. He served as the Chair of Basketball England South East region, responsible for basketball in Kent, Surrey and Sussex between 2022 and 2024. He is currently on the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion board at Basketball England, advocating for inclusivity across the sport. With over a decade of experience in sports, including more than 10 years with the Premier League, Sten has significantly contributed to community and elite sports organisations. He founded the Bexley Tigers Basketball Club, establishing strong partnerships with schools to create development pathways for children. His extensive qualifications in basketball coaching, refereeing, statistics and officiating underscore his dedication to growing the game from all aspects. Sten is passionate about youth, often siting his life mission to help raise the next generation of young people.
